Joy City

Alone in the dark it was conducive
For the memories to be revived
As I gradually shut off my eyes
Little by little there was music
In my mind, it started to play
A familiar melody we used to sing
Which symbolized us in its entirety
The keys of the piano shifted my time
The amorous lyrics brought my thoughts
Back to the gondola of the Ferris Wheel
When we celebrated
Where we used to kiss
Every time it reached its peak
Holding the hopes that this deed
Would magically bind us certainly
And thus, would let us stay together forever
