She left
Not because I wasn’t enough
But because I was more than she wanted
She left
Not because I wasn’t careful
But because I was so much concerned
She left
Not because I wasn’t just infatuated
But because I was madly, deeply in love
She left
Not because I wasn’t her fantasy
But because I was the existing reality
We were blazing as fire
But after some time
The truths became lies
The ifs became whys
Trust became a concept
A gamble we have to bet
Right at the moment we were at the peak
She left

I’m sure there are a lot of people who can relate to either you or the other person in your poem. I could feel the authentic longing and sadness in the words. Thanks for sharing it. It’s really good.

Thank you for those words, yes, I believe it’s a short but a meaningful poem. It just reflects a person’s genuine love being wasted by another person’s playful heart.

French woman’ opinion: you have talent and a magnificent voice to heal the pain.

Oh, ouch, what a precious poem this is, showing love’s progress to the unlovely end, so sad, but inevitable?

Yes. There are some people who are not yet ready to commit, unfortunately

Despite their leaving, or the way they treated me; every person that I have loved, has shown me parts of me that I didn’t know, has shown me myself, and for that I am grateful.
